Viola (16″) by Mansuy, Paris c.1900

The sound of this viola is mellow, smooth and resonant with rich overtones. It is even across all four strings.

The top is tightly grained widening to a medium grain at the sides. The two-piece back is lightly flamed and it is has been varnished a deep reddish brown.
