The tone of this viola is resonant and rich in overtones with good projection. It is strong in the G and C strings, and in the upper registers. The sound is open and voluminous. It is a big, full sound.

It has a striking bear claw spruce top and a beautiful two-piece back that is lightly flamed. The viola has been finished with a red brown varnish.

Justin White is a luthier based in Sydney, who specialises in creating fine bowed and plucked instruments using both traditional and baroque designs. All his instruments are crafted from high quality, traditional and selected Australian timbers. They are designed and priced to appeal to discerning musicians of all levels, including professionals.
