Viola (415mm or 16 1/4″) by A. Youngson, Glasgow 1981 (no.51)

The sound of this viola is strong, solistic, carrying and powerful with rich overtones.

It has a fine to medium grain top.The maple back is striking and finely flamed with full arching and has been varnished a warm amber. It has a nicely pronounced, sculptured edge purfling.
