Violin labelled Sebastian Klotz 1756, Germany c.1900

The sound is warm, dark and even across all strings. Its voice is penetrating with resonant overtones.

The varnish is an amber that moves to a darker brown shading with an antique patina. The top top features a fine to mediurm grain. The sides are plain cut with a two-piece back.

This violin is labelled Sebastian Klotz 1756 and is likely modelled after those made by the famous Mittenwald luthier.
